Websites are a very common sight. The vast majority of companies have, and some individuals do as well. For this unit, you will learn what goes into making a website.

 

Task 1 - Start a Word document and list all the words and acronyms you can thing of relating to websites and web design. For the acronyms, include their meanings if you can, or look them up (if you look them up, please state this). [20 mins]

 

Task 2 - You are to create a website on a topic of your choice. You can use any free website creation tools/sites you wish. [2 - 3 lessons]. One suggestion is to use Wix. You will need to sign up for an account, and choose a template (or start from a blank) to suit your chosen topic.

 

Task 3 - You are to begin the Intro to html/css tutorial on the Grok Learning site. [2 - 3 lessons]
