Project - Choice

 

For this project, you are to choose one of the following options:

 

Increase your Programming knowledge.

For this option, you will work through either PHP, Python, C Sharp or Java course on codeacademy.org

After you have completed the training course-work, you are to create your own program to either entertain others (i.e. game), add functionality to an existing program or system, or make a stand-alone program for a given task.

 

An important part of this project, is for you to document all learning by not only listing what you learnt and achieved in any given lesson, but also detailing the commands covered with description of how each works.

 

3D Game Creation

Create a game in Unity3D. Your game should have the following attributes:

First or third person

Damage/health/lives

Multiple objects with collision effects

Imported objects

Light source

Multiple textures

 

Research

Extensively research a current or emerging technology. For example, look into the future of wireless networking and bluetooth.

 

ALL PROJECTS

All projects must have a highly detailed journal to accompany your finished project. 5 minutes at the end of each single lesson and 10 at the end of each double lesson will be spent on the journal. Ensure you include what you have researched, what you learnt, what features you used etc etc. Upon completion, Mr Morgan should be able to read your journal and know exactly what you have covered and achieved as well as any difficulties faced and how you overcame these.

 

For difficulties encountered, remember there are others in the class who may have experienced this before, and there is also the all seeing and all knowing Google and YouTube.

 

 

You will have 4 weeks on this project, so make the most of your learning time.
